Hillary Clinton blasted Donald Trump for his “reckless” and “dangerous” attitude toward nuclear weapons in a New York Daily News column published Thursday.

Clinton took the GOP frontrunner to task for his comments that America needed “unpredictability” when it came to nuclear weapons. Clinton argued that a Trump presidency with that type of attitude could “reverse decades of bipartisan consensus.”

“These may be the most reckless statements on national security by any major presidential candidate in modern history,” she wrote.

The former secretary of state went on to tout her record on foreign policy and lay out her plan for dealing with nuclear security and the threat of ISIS getting its hands on a “dirty bomb.”

“As President, I’ll intensify our efforts to safeguard nuclear material and work with our allies to block nuclear proliferation, not expand it,” the column read. “We need to ensure that no terrorist is ever able to threaten our country or our allies with a weapon of mass destruction.”

Clinton concluded her column with a jab at not only Trump, but the rest of the candidates in the presidential race.

“Don’t hold your breath waiting for a similarly detailed plan from Trump or any of the other candidates, ” she wrote. “Our national security is too important to entrust to someone who hasn’t thought long and hard about how to keep us safe.”

Good for her! This topic has come up far too seldom in these primary campaigns.

  2. Actually the dearth of press coverage on this is pretty shocking. Japan & S. Korea should get their own nukes? Yikes.

  3. Perhaps the Media collectively hope that Japan and South Korea happen to miss the one article and now they’re trying to keep this all on the down low.
    Thanks, Hillary.

  4. MATTHEWS: Can you tell the Middle East we’re not using a nuclear weapon on anybody?

TRUMP: I would never say that. I would never take any of my cards off the table.

MATTHEWS: How about Europe? We won’t use it in Europe?

TRUMP: I — I’m not going to take it off the table.

  5. Has he told you about the table? The best table! Top drawer, first class, solid, classy, a table to make us proud again…
