The Hillary Clinton campaign Friday seized on Donald Trump’s middle-of-the-night Twitter tirade against a former Miss Universe to deride the GOP nominee as “unhinged” and thin-skinned.
In a series of tweets of its own, the Clinton campaign said that Trump has a pattern of lashing out when something “gets under his skin” and noted that he has attacked several women’s appearances.
Trump’s late-night tweetstorm attacked former Miss Universe Alicia Machado as “disgusting,” claimed that she has a “sex tape,” and suggested without any evidence that Clinton may have improperly assisted the Venezuelan Machado in obtaining her U.S. citizenship.
This is…unhinged, even for Trump. A few notes. https://t.co/WURWs6aJ5f

What kind of man stays up all night to smear a woman with lies and conspiracy theories?

Alicia deserves praise for courageously standing up to Trump’s attacks. And he has the gall to blame her—and say he “helped”?

When something gets under Donald’s thin skin, he lashes out and can’t let go. This is dangerous for a president.

To Donald, women like Alicia are only as valuable as his personal opinion about their looks. https://t.co/OZv8yg8vjZ pic.twitter.com/PZWmPcORBR

Trump obsessively bullies Rosie O’Donnell—an accomplished actor. He insulted Kim Kardashian for her weight—when she was pregnant. Pathetic.

We’ve heard Donald’s insults for years, and his policies reflect this disregard—even contempt—for women.

Trump on equal pay: “Do as good a job” as men.
Abortion? Should be “punished.”
Pregnancy? An “inconvenience.”
Wives working? “Dangerous.”

While Donald continues day 5 of his Machado meltdown, we’ll be in Florida talking about national service. You’ll want to watch.

In a tweetstorm that began around 3:20 a.m. ET on Friday, Donald Trump continued his attacks on Machado, whose negative experiences with Trump were resurfaced by the Clinton campaign this week. In addition to his attacks on Machado, Trump scolded the media for using unnamed sources to report on his campaign’s internal workings.
Trump and his superior judgement is on display for all to see
Sad
I hope women see his blatant misogyny, arrogance, seriously crappy judgement, and inability to control his impulses… And his campaign tactics suck. I expect his new campaign manager lady is pulling her hair out over his lack of control and serious anger management issues.
Lordy! Hillary and her people have really, really, really shown brilliance in baiting Trump and feeding him more rope as the days go on.
It’s easy to say I’ve never seen anything as bad as Trump in American politics ('cause I’ve been around a long time and haven’t). But I should also say I’ve not seen much anywhere as skilled as the way Hillary and her crew have been handling this.
And 38 days still left for him to become even more unhinged.
“Unhinged,” and “thin-skinned” is a gross understatement!
“…Trump scolded the media for using unnamed sources to report on his campaign’s internal workings.”
What, “some people”? “People are saying”? The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
