At Wednesday’s CNN town hall in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton recounted stealthily venturing out of the White House in a plain-clothes disguise while first lady.
Asked by Anderson Cooper what she would do if she could be anynmous for a day, she explained she already had some experience from when she was first lady.
“I would put on a baseball cap and sunglasses and, you know, sweat pants and a sweat shirt and pull my hair back and I would go walk,” she said. “I would tell the Secret Service they had to wear casual clothes, they had to take the thing out of their ears, they had to look like they were just tourists.”
She said she had the “best time” on these trips.
“I would end up on the [National] Mall sometimes and a family would come up and say, ‘Would you mind taking our picture in front of the White House?'” she said, adding that she would say that she was “happy to.”
She said there is nothing she would like better “than to be anonymous,” and used the opportunity to praise the state that is hosting a Democratic primary next week.
“I would spend the day out in nature, taking a long walk, walking through one of the beautiful towns here in New Hampshire, stopping in a cafe, stopping in a book store, you know, maybe calling some of my friends, some of whom are here tonight and say don’t tell anybody but meet me there,” she said. “That’s what I want to do. And it’s what I get the great joy out of.”

Who wouldn’t want even a few minutes of that after being in the limelight.
When asked what she might want to do when she is no longer First Lady, Michelle Obama replied, “open a window.” The interviewer was puzzled, but she explained that it is a simple everyday action which she is not allowed to do in a car or room (the Secret Service get antsy).
What Clinton is describing is what Michelle has described lately and how anxious she is to reclaim to her life. She may also find it very strange to adjust to a life where there will no longer be a staff of competent, loyal people to take care of her and her family around a magnificent house. She might even consider going back to the law firm she was with when there will finally be an empty nest. It’ll be a great life together.
And TMP found a picture just like she described… except, wait for it, Bill is also in it… TMP pay that intern a little and I am sure they could find one of HRC without Bill as a tag along.
