Clinton Calls Romney’s Agenda Bush ‘On Steroids’

At a fundraiser Sunday evening, Bill Clinton appeared with President Obama and made the case that, without mentioning him by name, Mitt Romney is pushing George W. Bush’s agenda, only worse. Romney “basically wants to do what they did before, on steroids,” Clinton said, “which will get you the same consequences you got before, on steroids.” Obama he said he and Hillary Clinton have “spent the past three-and-a-half years cleaning up after other folks’ messes.” Obama’s line echoed campaign adviser Robert Gibbs made earlier Sunday when he said that Romney’s message is: “You didn’t clean up our mess fast enough.”
