The Cleveland Cavaliers showed a promotional video on Wednesday over their arena’s jumbotron in which a fan hurls his girlfriend across the living room because she’s a Chicago Bulls fan, Deadspin reported.
The video showed a couple recreating a scene from “Dirty Dancing” in which the girlfriend ran and leapt into her boyfriend’s waiting arms. However, as she ran toward him, he noticed her Bulls t-shirt and, instead of catching her, slammed her onto the floor for not being “ALL IN.” The video then showed her writhing in pain on the floor as a voiceover gave this message:
“When it’s playoff basketball time, you have to be ‘ALL IN,’ so don’t make the same mistake she made,” the voiceover said.
The video ended with this dialogue from the couple, who were shown sitting on a couch — both wearing Cavs t-shirts:
“I thought you were ‘ALL IN,'” the boyfriend said.
“Well, I’m ‘ALL IN’ now,” the girlfriend responded. “Let’s just watch the game.”
“Go Cavs!” the triumphant boyfriend said.
Deadspin reported that the video was removed from the Cavs’ Vimeo page on Thursday.
