NBC “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd is getting his own daily afternoon program, among other staff changes at the network, according to a memo on Thursday from MSNBC President Phil Griffin.
Todd is scheduled to host “MTP Daily” beginning Sept. 28 at 5 p.m., according to the memo.
The program is intended to “bring the insight and power of Meet the Press to our air every day of the week,” Griffin said in the memo.
Griffin also announced that reporter Kate Snow would anchor from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day and will also anchor NBC Nightly News on Sundays. She is scheduled to start next week, according to the memo.
It had also been reported that Brian Williams would return from his six-month hiatus Tuesday to cover the pope’s visit.

Giving this know-nothing a daily show cements MSNBC as a network in terminal decline. Kinda sad, really.
If Chuck Todd’s new show is offering “the insight and power of Meet the Press,” then count me out as a viewer.
I appreciate the network announcing when not to watch MSNBC.
What does that “MS” part stand for? Mighty sad?
Good Lord, why are they rewarding this hack with another show? He can’t handle the one he has, so they think it’s a good idea to give him another?
Pfft. How can the program bring something it doesn’t have in real life.
