MSNBC host Chuck Todd said Thursday that House Republicans were “obsessed” with Sidney Blumenthal, the longtime Hillary Clinton ally who communicated with her frequently while she was secretary of state.
Clinton testified Thursday in an hours-long interrogation from the House committee. She was asked at length about her correspondence with Blumenthal.
Blumenthal himself had already testified behind closed doors.
Todd said on MSNBC that he understood why the committee mentioned Blumenthal, but that it was distracting.
“So, I get the attempt here. They’re trying to sully her character with Sidney Blumenthal,” Todd said. “But it’s like a dog with a bone. They’re so obsessed with the Sidney Blumenthal bone that they took their eye off the ball.”

Well, I have the weird feeling that what is running through all these guys’ heads is pure frustration:
