New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie blasted House Republicans on Wednesday for failing to allow a vote on legislation that would have provided assistance to victims of Hurricane Sandy, saying he was “played.”

“Our people were played last night as a pawn,” he told reporters at a news conference. “Last night my party was responsible for this.”

As for Christie’s opinion on John Boehner’s speakership in a coming re-election vote?

“I don’t care,” he said.
