New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) told a crowd on Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference that he believed his so-called “explosive” style is needed in the GOP because someone needs to tell President Obama’s White House “it’s time to shut up.”
Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, sitting across from Christie onstage, listed a string of words used in the press to describe him (“explosive, short tempered, hot head, impatient.”)
“The word they miss is passionate,” Christie said.
“But, sit down and shut up?” Ingraham shot back.
“Yeah, well, sometimes people need to be told to sit down and shut up,” the governor said as the audience applauded.
Christie milked it, adding at “some more of that stuff should be happening in DC,” particularly directed at the Obama administration.
“Someone should say its time to shut up,” Christie said of those inside the White House, to even greater applause.
It’s become his gag line.

So, he is doubling down on what is not playing that well? Not the mark of a smart politician.
Awwww…do I detect some stress eating binges in the good Governor’s recent history?
Having struggled myself, I do sincerely sympathize. Then again, I’ve never undergone surgery in the hopes of furthering my political ambitions. It must be pure torture for you to have been so close to grabbing that golden ring, and watching it fade as the carousel spins wildly out of your control.
My heart bleeds: for the Sandy victims you still haven’t gotten around to helping.
New Jersey Christie Democrats, you reap what you sow.
Whatta class act! Reminds me of why I was so happy to get out of NJ.
Me too, brother, but sometimes here in Pennsyltucky I must admit I miss (some of) it…
