New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie advised Mitt Romney to open up more to the American people in an interview with ABC News “Nightline” that will air Tuesday night. “I think as time progresses in this campaign, you’re going to see him open himself up more and more to the American people, and let them see who Mitt Romney really is, like I’ve had the opportunity to see,” Christie said. “And I think when they do, they’re going to like what they see.”

Christie also said he doesn’t regret calling a reporter “stupid” over the weekend for asking a question at a press conference that was off the designated topic. “[W]hen someone acts stupid, I’m going to call them stupid,” Christie said. “[I]f you don’t have a hearing problem, you should be able to follow the rules. Those are the rules.”
