Republican presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Monday that the world “is literally on fire” because of President Obama during a campaign speech in Iowa.
Christie talked about President Obama’s speech to the United Nations during his campaign stop.
“I had the unbridled joy of watching Barack Obama’s speech,” Christie said.
“I have to tell you something — I have not seen such a collection of meaningless platitudes,” he continued. “A guy who doesn’t understand the world is literally on fire because of his inaction. Libya is on fire. Syria is on fire. Iraq is on fire.”
Christie said that Obama spent more time discussing climate change instead of the “global terrorist threat to America and the other free nations around the world.”
“You know, he talked about hope and change eight years ago,” Christie said. “If we had known what hope and change really meant — he would’ve never been elected by any of the American people.”
