Republican presidential candidate and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) took to Twitter on Thursday to react to the mass killing at a historic black church in Charleston, S.C.

Nine people were killed when a white gunman, identified by authorities as Dylann Roof, opened fire Wednesday at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
