Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is planning on endorsing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday morning, The Washington Post reported.

The Post cited two unnamed people “familiar” with Carson’s “thinking” and reported that the announcement would take place at Trump’s property, Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Armstrong Williams, Carson’s business manager, told the Post that the two politicians met Thursday, but declined to comment further.

Carson ended his own presidential bid for the White House last week, after declaring that there was no “political path forward” for his campaign.
