Former Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) at a Wednesday campaign event in Miami.

“I checked the box for Ted Cruz, and I’m here to tell you why,” Fiorina said of her vote in Virginia’s primary.

The former Hewlett-Packard executive said Cruz is the only candidate who can beat Republican frontrunner Donald Trump and cast Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton as “two sides of the same coin.”

“It is time to unite behind Ted Cruz,” Fiorina said at the event.

She also while plenty of Republicans are “horrified” by Trump, party leaders can’t “tsk tsk” voters out of supporting him.

While still vying for the GOP nomination, Fiorina said she found it “odd” that Cruz didn’t renounce his Canadian citizenship until 2014, “when it became clear he was running for President.”

Fiorina also said legal scholars consider the question of whether Cruz is a natural born citizen who is eligible to be President “a legitimate issue.”
