Rep. Michael Capuano (D-MA) will not run in a special election to replace Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), the Washington Post reports, making him the latest of several high-profile Massachusetts Democrats who have declined to join the race.

Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) has announced plans to run and received support from Kerry.

Capuano ran in the Democratic primary for the 2009 special election to replace Ted Kennedy.
