Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday that he was going to “take it” to rival Donald Trump at the next GOP debate.

Bush was asked in an interview with the South Carolina radio program “Dave & Liz” what his strategy was for Saturday’s Republican presidential debate. He said he planned to go after Trump on issues like eminent domain.

“These issues need to come out. And I’m gonna take it to him, but do it hopefully with enough civility so that people won’t get turned off,” Bush said in audio flagged by BuzzFeed News.

Bush said the debates were happening so fast that there wasn’t a lot of time to prepare, which he compared to prepping for a root canal. But he said he planned to just “show my heart.”

“Show the depth of knowledge that I have, show good humor, stand my ground,” Bush said of his plans. “Don’t let Trump bully me.”

The hosts didn’t laugh.
