Former President George W. Bush and his father, former President George H.W. Bush, will not be in attendance at President Barack Obama’s inauguration next week, ABC News reported.

The elder Bush checked out of a Houston hospital earlier this week after a nearly two-month stay to receive treatment for severe bronchitis. His son cited “his father’s health in declining the invitation to attend” the inauguration, officials told ABC.

That leaves former President Bill Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter as the only two previous commanders-in-chief who will be present when Obama is sworn in for a second term.
