House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) on Thursday accused President Obama of being “reckless” and inciting a potential government shutdown by threatening to veto the GOP’s appropriations proposals.

“Today I’m urging him to take the government shutdown threat off the table,” Boehner said.

Obama’s veto threat was regarding efforts by House Republicans to protect the Pentagon and other agencies from sequestration while cutting domestic spending such as education and health care.
