Bob Dole — former senator, congressman, presidential and vice presidential candidate — told ABC News on Wednesday evening that he likes “nearly all” the Republican candidates.
“There are a lot of good candidates. I like nearly all of them,” Dole said.
Then he whispered: “Except Cruz.”
Despite the tepid across-the-board endorsement, Dole ultimately threw his support behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Wednesday. Dole sought the Republican presidential nomination twice against Bush’s father, George H.W. Bush, before he led the Republican ticket against eventual President Bill Clinton in 1996.
“I think he’s the most qualified. We need somebody with experience,” Dole said of the younger Bush.

Huh.
Just a few months ago he was saying he didn’t recognize the GOP anymore.
Dole is like Bush 41, those are Republicans from an entirely different generation before they became toxic and sold themselves to the uber-wealthy (basically the Reagan virus).
I am with Dole though, Cruz contributes nothing - has no actual goals, no coherent or credible governing philosophy, and hasn’t even tried to accomplish anything since being in office even by the low bar Republicans have to define accomplishments.
Will Rogers clearly never met Ted Cruz.
Is there anyone on the planet who actually likes him?
