Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) said Sunday that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump was going to have to change to compete in the general election.

Corker said he didn’t condone the widely-criticized comments Trump has made about the federal judge presiding over the case against Trump University. Trump has said that U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel‘s “Mexican heritage” is a conflict of interest in the case.

“Well, I think that he’s going to have to change. And the fact is — I’m not talking about him necessarily changing his views, but I think that he’s now moving into a different phase,” Corker said on ABC News’ “This Week.”

Corker has said he would support the Republican nominee.
