A bipartisan meeting of all senators about nominations and the possibility of invoking nuclear option ran late Monday evening, with no clarity about when it would conclude or whether it would yield an agreement.

By the time two and a half hours had gone by after the 6 P.M. ET meeting began, a handful of senators had left to use the restroom at various points but none offered reporters any new information.

Aides for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) also had no news to share. Bipartisan negotiations are underway to head off the nuclear option but it’s unclear if a deal will be reached.
