O’Reilly Sympathizes With Hillary: I Too Have Been ‘Dishonestly Smeared’ (VIDEO)

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly had a balancing act to perform on Thursday night: backing a new book that attacks Hillary Clinton’s foreign connections while denouncing “political hit jobs” on public figures, such as himself.

“The Clintons are to be given the presumption of innocence,” O’Reilly said of the allegations of corruption in Peter Schweizer’s new book, “Clinton Cash.”

“As one who has been dishonestly smeared, I loathe political hit jobs,” he said. “But there are major questions here, and they must, must be answered.”

For months now, O’Reilly has denounced recent reports questioning his own integrity after a wave of former colleagues, fellow journalists, and raw audio tape cast doubts on his war tales and public statements. He called the allegations the work of “far-left zealots” and the like.

Still, the host of “The O’Reilly Factor” went through a few tidbits from Schweizer’s book, saying that an official investigation should be launched into the Clintons’ relationships with governments and corporations overseas.

He didn’t rule out that the political power couple were doing favors for their friends.

“If true, that would likely eliminate Mrs. Clinton from the presidential race — if true,” he said. “Right now the evidence is circumstantial, not vetted, and the subject of wild speculation by anti-Clinton forces.”

  1. Billo knows. He has pictures of Hillary being smeared.

Look, Billo. Let’s make it simple. WE DON’T WANT YOUR ‘HELP.’

    Got it?

  2. Not dishonestly smeared, honestly smeared.

Besides that, yeah, exactly the same. /snark

  3. Oh Bill…if you truly sympathized you would apologize for dishonestly smearing the Clintons over the years.

  4. Personally, I would love the spectacle of Billo apologizing. It would be as natural as a snake riding a bike.

  5. Bill O’Leilly is great at portraying himself as the victim. Using Hillary as some stepping stone to do is so blatantly disingenuous - much like the suggestion that FOX is not a Republican mouthpiece.
