Fox News host Bill O’Reilly on Thursday railed against Al Gore’s reported desire to sell Current TV before the New Year so he could avoid paying higher taxes.
In the end, the deal to sell Current to Al Jazeera closed earlier this week. But Gore’s move to sell the network before the New Year was “sleazy” and “disgraceful,” O’Reilly said, given the former vice president’s call for wealthy Americans to pay their “fair share.”
O’Reilly added that it is “really stunning” a former vice president would sell his cable network to the “anti-American network” Al Jazeera and try to avoid paying higher taxes in the process.
