Bill Maher on Sunday questioned why most GOP voters elect Republican politicians.
"I understand why the one percent — the richest one percent — vote Republican. They deserve those votes. You know what, they represent the richest one percent perfectly," Maher said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that aired Sunday. "Anybody else who does? Just corporate America’s useful idiots."
The liberal comedian also offered some thoughts on the how the Republican Party has evolved over the past 20 years.
"They just rode the short bus to crazy town at a certain point," he said.
