Comedian Bill Maher clashed with panelists on his show Friday night by saying that the Hillary Clinton email scandal has been nothing more than “stupid infantile bullshit from our stupid infantile press.”

Maher scoffed at panelist Arianna Huffington’s suggestion that the former secretary of state acted defensively during a recent news conference in which she talked about why she conducted official business at the State Department using a private email server.

“I could not disagree more. Absolutely not,” Maher told the Huffington Post founder. “She looked liked someone who just is used to taking her beating like a man.”

“When I watched it, I thought this is going to serve her well because that’s what America is all about,” the comedian said. “It’s not about issues. It’s just — can you take your beating over stupid infantile bullshit from our stupid infantile press? And she said ‘Yes I can. Yes I can.'”

Huffington said Clinton needs to get used to the idea that the media is going to scrutinize her.

“She looked as though she would rather be anywhere else,” Huffington said. “More important than that is she really needs to realize that’s how the press is going to be.”

“Of course,” Maher said.

  1. And now it turns out that had Hillary not kept her own e-mails, the State Department may very well have lost them.

So, good for her. She went above and beyond her responsibilities for that period of time.

Yep, Mr Maher that’s what it is " Just ‘Bulls**t’ ".

  3. When Hillary gave her press conference at the UN, the way she looked at the press was far from fearful or defensive. The press was all jammed in there, like a muster of emperor penguins in a huddle, squawking and begging to be fed, while Hillary condescended to toss them a few sardines and squid.

Sorry Arianna, Clinton learned to take the media’s BS long before your click bait company was even a twinkling of an idea. She had to put up with so much inappropriate BS from not just the right wing but the entire media in the 1990’s that dealing with this crap today is a walk in the park for her. And Maher is exactly right, this is nothing more than the media flexing fake muscles because they saw an opportunity to beat on someone for awhile.
