Former President Bill Clinton has only ever sent two emails, both while he was in office, a spokesman told the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.
Clinton sent both messages — one to astronaut John Glenn, and one to American service members abroad — while he was serving as President, spokesman Matt McKenna told the WSJ.
McKenna said the former President set up a domain for his staff, presidentclinton.com, after leaving office but doesn’t use email himself, according to the WSJ.
The former President shared the information on the same day his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, answered questions about her own email habits.
He uses only buttons too. Because zippers are not plain!
Someday, in the far, far future, politicians will be hogtied to a public record with unbreakable future string.
Sorry, but not adopting one of the most ubiquitous technological developments of the last generation isn’t something to be proud of.
Oooohhhhh boy, the Big Dog just caused thousands of Republican college interns and Tea Party wingnuts to go scurrying over the Wide World Web to find proof that he has, in fact, sent more than two emails. They’ll want him to testify over the difference between emails, tweets, and texts and how he can so scurrilously not tell the difference between one and the other.
This is a power statement, masked as a humble confession. NOT having to use email is something rare. Only ancient college professors and the very wealthy are in a position to refuse to conform to a convention as widely accepted as email.
