Former President Bill Clinton and husband to Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton got into a heated debate on Wednesday with a 24-year old man who identified himself as a supporter of Clinton’s rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), BuzzFeed News reported.

The debate was over the course of 30 minutes at a Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe and Clinton’s staffers tried to move the former President along multiple times, the news website reported.

When Clinton approached Josh Brody’s booth, the man appeared to refuse to shake Clinton’s hand and instead asked him about “aid to families with dependent children,” BuzzFeed reported.

The two then debated Clinton’s polices in the 1990s, arguing over Clinton’s welfare reform and spending for education. Brody reportedly compared Clinton’s Wall Street legislation to “a golden parachute straight from the Treasury Department.”

“It’s a nice little narrative,” Clinton replied.

When the two discussed funding to education, Clinton told Brody that he had “cherry-picked facts.”

“Seems like your narrative is that you did the best job that you could have possibly done from the most progressive standpoint that you possibly could have had,” Brody replied.

Clinton eventually moved on to another booth — reportedly still talking to Brody as he walked away.
