Vice President Joe Biden has been open about his 2016 plans, but he didn’t want to overshadow Seth Meyer’s premiere as the host of “Late Night” early Tuesday with talk about running for president.
“I had planned on making a major announcement tonight, but I decided tonight’s your night,” Biden joked. “I hope you will invite me back.”
Actress Amy Poehler joined Biden on the “Late Night” couch and wasn’t shy at all about her own plans.
“I’m going to run for president!” she said.
On NBC’s “Parks and Recreation,” Poehler portrays Leslie Knope, a municipal politician and fervent Biden admirer who met the vice president in the flesh on one episode.
