Vice President Joe Biden will appear at a fundraiser this month for the state’s Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan, television station WMUR reported.
The fundraiser is slated to be held Aug. 22 at the Maine home of at lobbyist Jim Demers. As WMUR noted, the trip could stoke speculation that Biden is preparing for a White House bid in 2016. In a candid interview last month, the vice president made it clear that he isn’t ruling out a run.
“I can die a happy man never having been president of the United States of America,” Biden said. “But it doesn’t mean I won’t run.”
Biden ventured to another early primary state in May when he attended Democratic events in South Carolina.
