Vice President Joe Biden described Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s (R) policy stances as “from another era.”

Biden made the comments about Cuccinelli, Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s Republican opponent in the Virginia gubernatorial race, during a get-out-the-vote kickoff event in Virginia on Monday.

Cuccinelli’s views on women “are from another era. I mean literally, another era,” Biden said according to Politico

“Everything they talk about, without exaggeration, is about turning back what the rest of the country and the world thinks is progress,” Biden continued. “It’s hard to fathom this state being led by man who rejects all that this new thinking stands for. The whole nation is looking at this race, that’s not hyperbole.”

Biden’s comments come a day before Election Day in the gubernatorial race. Most polling has shown McAuliffe with a wide single-digit lead over Cuccinelli.
