Vice President Joe Biden is expected to come to a decision regarding a potential presidential campaign within the next week, according to a pair of reports.

Politico reported Monday morning that anonymous confidants of Biden’s say he’s likely to come to a decision by next weekend, or shortly thereafter.

CBS News also reported Friday that Biden could finally make up his mind within seven to 10 days, citing three anonymous sources familiar with his deliberations.

It remains unclear whether Biden is leaning toward or away from jumping into the Democratic primary race.

Should he decide to launch a presidential bid, CNN reported last week that Biden is unlikely to participate in the first Democratic primary debate on Oct. 13.

  2. Say it ain’t so, Joe.

  3. The spotlight can be addictive but it’s best to turn it off and this would be that time.

  4. All the noise being made about his potential campaign feels more like a media concoction than a genuine interest, but that’s just me.

If this confidante really wants to advise Joe, he should tell Joe that today is a Hell of a lot better than next weekend or shortly thereafter. Joe has damn near let the train pull out of the station without him.
