Uber, the San Francisco-based startup that lets users hail taxis and car services from their smartphones, has been sued for false representation and deceptive business practices by a coalition of seven Chicago taxicab and and limo companies, Betabeat reported Friday.
The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Illinois, is actually second facing Uber regarding its April expansion to Chicago: A class action lawsuit was also filed against the company earlier this week.
Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, an avowed libertarian whose anti-regulatory tweets served as evidence in the lawsuit filed by the Chicago cab companies, again took to Twitter folllowing the new of the new lawsuit on Friday:
