House Republicans have proposed a sizable budget for their coveted Benghazi select committee and may spend more to investigate that scandal in 2014 than on the entire Veterans Affairs committee.
The House GOP has requested $3.3 million for the Benghazi committee in 2014 led by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC, pictured) — $2.2 million for Republicans serving on the committee and a little over $1 million for the Democrats, according to a document provided to USA Today by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
They asked for $3 million for the committee overseeing the Veterans Affairs department, which has been roiled with allegations of long wait times for Veterans seeking care from VA health facilities.
Gowdy spokesperson Amanda Duvall told USA Today that the budget request for the Benghazi committee is a “high end estimate,” and that the committee may not spend that much.
Is anyone really surprised about this? It’s old news that the GOP doesn’t care about Veterans…or active duty soldiers for that matter.
Now here’s a real scandal. Gowdy’s Goons hate the troops, and hate America.
Typical - more time, effort, and money to investigate a phony scandal than to investigate a real one.

$3.3M would pay for a lotta veterans’ healthcare.
