Ben Carson said in a Thursday radio interview that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump knows his bombastic Twitter presence is a “problem” he’s trying to address.
After Florida radio host Joyce Kaufman, a Trump supporter, said she hopes someone closes his Twitter account, Carson said he and the billionaire’s family have talked to him about his online presence.
“I think he will come to understand,” Carson, who endorsed Trump after dropping out of the GOP presidential race, said. “We’ve talked about it, and a number of people have talked about it, including his family. And he knows that it’s a problem. And the first part of solving the problem is recognizing that it exists.”
Trump is very active on Twitter, where his retweeting messages from supporters have landed him in hot water numerous times. Most recently, Trump retweeted a meme mocking Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) wife Heidi’s appearance.
The real estate mogul has also repeatedly recirculated messages calling Fox News host Megyn Kelly a “bimbo” and once retweeted an account named “WhiteGenocide.”
BuzzFeed first flagged Carson’s interview.

Self Control is a pretty desirable trait in a POTUS…
Twitter is an addictive behavior? If it’s “a problem” it’s really that hard to go cold turkey?
They staged a family Twittervention.
Can’t help thinking tRumpley is conflicted with keeping the distraction or admitting his mistake and fitting it with a pair of cement shoes.
