Glenn Beck had the surging Rick Santorum on his radio program this morning. The conservative talk show host pressed the former Pennsylvania Senator about his former support for Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey during the 2004 Senate seat primary battle. Santorum defended his decision by arguing that Specter was a crucial figure on the judiciary committee and was essential in roping moderate Republicans and conservative Democrats into supporting President Bush’s Supreme Court choices, including Justice Samuel Alito.
Beck, who has publicly said he would support Bachmann, ended by wishing Santorum luck, and saying that if Santorum did become President then “I wouldn’t lose a second of time worrying about what you’re doing behind people’s back or behind closed doors.”
