A man accidentally shot his wife in the buttocks in the couple’s home in Ohio. The man, Kent Scott, told Springfield, Ohio police that shooting happened when he had picked up a backpack from the floor, according to the Springfield News-Sun.
A gun fell out of the backpack and when Scott reached for it, the gun went off. The bullet hit Kimberly Scott, Kent Scott’s wife, in the left buttock. The bullet got lodged into Kelly Scott’s right buttock, close to her hip.
“It was an accidental gunshot would,” Springfield Police Sgt. Doug Pergram said.
Emergency personnel were called at 3:23 PM. Kimberly Scott was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center and then flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was treated and then released at Miami Valley, according to medical records.
