Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) knows you’ll miss her when she retires from Congress, so she plans on sticking around, just like Newt Gingrich has.

Bachmann told the Washington Post that she has looked to the “great example” set by Gingrich after his time as a lawmaker. She will look for a cable news deal, a role at a think tank, and maybe write a couple books.

Gingrich seemed to think this could be challenging.

“I have no idea what the ‘next’ Newt Gingrich would even sound like, so who knows if she can do that?” Gingrich told the Post. “I know I’m having a hard enough time figuring out what this Newt Gingrich should sound like.”

Bachmann has talked to conservatives like Meghan McCain, Rick Santorum and Tony Perkins trying to feel out where she should head next. Actor Jon Voight, who is a friend of Bachmann’s, apparently spoke with Fox News about a place for Bachmann there.
