The Capitol Police gave Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) a security detail after the Islamic State made an online threat against the congresswoman, law enforcement officials told Politico.
Police will provide security through the end of Bachmann’s term.
Both Bachmann’s office and the Capitol Police declined to comment to Politico.
“The U.S. Capitol Police does not discuss law enforcement operations or security regarding Members of Congress,” Capitol Police spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider told Politico.
Let her get her own security detail.
But seriously? ISIL going after this clown? Is this a bad joke?
If she were in a mental institution, where she belongs, she’d be safe from ISIL, unless a few were also in there.
Maybe a stretch in the steel hotel would be a good idea. She’s certainly earned it.
I do hope this whole security detail does not turn into another Dick Cheney’s fiasco where he was given security after his term ended.
Doesn’t ISIL realize that she poses a bigger threat to our liberties and way of life than they do?
