The family of Michael Brown, the unarmed black teen shot and killed by a police officer in Missouri, has hired the same attorney that represents Trayvon Martin’s family, according to WTSP News.

Brown was shot multiple times by police on Saturday after an altercation in Ferguson, Mo., in the suburbs of St. Louis. Following the shooting, members of the community held protests outside police headquarters.

Brosn’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, is asking for an explanation from the police.

“I would like to see him fired,” she said Sunday about the officer that confronted her son. “I would like to see him go to jail with the death penalty.”

The FBI announced on Monday that it will be investigating potential civil rights violations in the shooting.

  1. Business is so loosely connected but steady enough to make a cottage industry of police brutality/murder.

  2. Brown was shot multiple times by police on Saturday

I thought that I had read that he was shot twice by one policeman.

    So which is it?

Not that it matters, but it would make it only a tiny bit less outrageous.

  3. Even if it was twice, that would be “multiple”, no?

I’ve read he was shot more than that - up to 10.
We’ll see once autopsy is released.

  4. His name is Benjamin Crump . I did not see that in the article.

Glad the family is being represented.
I was never overly impressed with Mr. Crump but he certainly brings experience to this case, which I am certain will be helpful.

  5. Horrible.

WTF is wrong with these people/animals?
