The family of Michael Brown, the unarmed black teen shot and killed by a police officer in Missouri, has hired the same attorney that represents Trayvon Martin's family, according to WTSP News.
Brown was shot multiple times by police on Saturday after an altercation in Ferguson, Mo., in the suburbs of St. Louis. Following the shooting, members of the community held protests outside police headquarters.
Brosn's mother, Lesley McSpadden, is asking for an explanation from the police.
"I would like to see him fired," she said Sunday about the officer that confronted her son. "I would like to see him go to jail with the death penalty."
The FBI announced on Monday that it will be investigating potential civil rights violations in the shooting.
