A child was shot in the leg in Phoenix, Ariz. on Thursday while a parent was cleaning their gun, the Associated Press reported.

Authorities say the child, whose identity has not yet been released, is recovering from a non-life threatening injury at an area hospital. The father’s bullet struck the child after penetrating two walls of the house.
