A congressional candidate for Arizona’s first district seat on Saturday said that most people who carry out mass shootings are Democrats, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

“It is totally ridiculous if you look at all the fiascos that have occurred, 99 percent of them have been by Democrats pulling their guns out and shooting people. So I don’t think you have a problem with the Republicans,” candidate Gary Kiehne said during a debate, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

Kiehne also warned that President Obama is out to take away Americans’ guns.

“Without our gun rights, this President would be after us pretty hard. He’s already tried several times to get them away from us,” Kiehne said.

He tried to bolster his gun rights chops by touting the number of firearms he owns.

“I probably have more guns and ammo than any one of my competitors because I’m from the country,” he said.

“I can assure you, if you don’t have a firearm, you ought to go buy one,” he continued, adding that if someone couldn’t afford a gun, he would loan them one of his.

Kiehne is competing against a couple other candidates in the Republican primary. The Republican nominee will run in the general election against incumbent Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ).

… but upon close inspection it was revealed that he possessed only a very tiny gun … and it had no live ammo - only blanks…

Well, we could start with Timothy McVeigh as a counter argument . . . but his followers aren’t really interested in facts.
