Apple told Republican officials that it will not offer funding or help for the Republican national convention in July because of the party’s support for Donald Trump, Politico reported on Saturday.

Buzzfeed News later confirmed that Apple would not aid the Republican convention.

Apple refused help to the GOP due to Trump’s comments about women, immigrants and minorities, according to Politico.

“We are working with a variety of major tech partners who are focused on being part of the American political process,” a spokesperson for the GOP convention told Politico when asked about Apple decision to stay away from the convention. Apple declined to comment to Politico and Buzzfeed News.

Several companies have decided to pass on the Republican convention this year, including Wells Fargo & Co. and Ford Motor Co. However, tech companies like Facebook, Google and Microsoft have all said they will provide help to the Republican convention this year, according to Politico.

    I stand with you!

  2. That Apple would support the GOP convention if they had nominated a different candidate is troubling.

  3. Too bad the party of science denial (let alone reality) gets any tech support. Can’t they get four bars with their Jeebus connection?

  4. Why do Facebook, Google, and Microsoft love and fully endorse Trump?
