Apple CEO Tim Cook slammed rival Microsoft’s new Surface tablet during Apple’s live fourth-quarter earnings call on Thursday, saying:

“I haven’t personally played with a Surface yet, but what we’re reading about it is that it’s a fairly compromised, confusing product…I suppose you could design a car that flies and floats, but I don’t think it would do all those things very well. I think that when people look at iPad and competitive offerings, they are going to conclude they want an iPad.”
