Anthony Weiner Says Carlos Danger Was ‘A Joke’

Anthony Weiner was asked why he chose a Hispanic name, specifically the alias “Carlos Danger,” to use during some of his explicit online chats in an interview with Univision Thursday.

“It was a joke in my personal life between me and one person,” Weiner said referring to Sydney Leathers, the woman who released the contents of her chats with Weiner where he used the sobriquet.

“I’m not going to comment on anything about the information that that person has chosen to release,” Weiner added.

Weiner previously claimed not to understand when he was asked about the roots of his “Carlos Danger” alias.
