Fox News host Andrea Tantaros blamed feminism during Wednesday’s episode of “Outnumbered” for the increase in the number of “unmarried cohabitating couples” who are having children.

Tantaros noted that “men specifically are opting out of marriage” and criticized this “sexodus,” a term she credited the conservative news site Breitbart with creating.

“Women have been encouraged to give it up … freely with the rise of feminism, have sex like a man,” Tantaros said. “So, they’re doing this and they’re not making the guy step up to put a ring on it.”

Fox News contributor Dr. Manny Alvarez noted that immigrants may also be responsible for the increased number of children being born out of wedlock.

“For a lot of times, it’s cultural,” Alvarez said. “There are many people coming to this country where that is a norm, where people meet, they get together, they want to have a baby. And bingo, they come back here and they don’t think about the marriage thing.”
