American Airlines, US Airways Complete Merger, Creating World’s Largest Airline

American Airlines and US Airways announced Thursday that they have completed an $11 billion merger that will form the world’s largest airline, the Associated Press and others reported.

The new carrier will be called American Airlines, but will be run by US AIrways CEO Doug Parker.
