American Airlines is set to resume service after technical issues grounded flights at three major U.S. airports for nearly two hours today.
The stoppage started around 12:41 p.m. ET Thursday. American Airlines said the “connectivity issues” were solved and flights could resume at 2:42 p.m.
The FAA said the ground stop, which affected all American Airlines traffic in and out of Chicago’s O’Hare, Miami, and Dallas/Fort Worth, was owed to “airline issues.”
We’ve resolved connectivity issues that caused challenges at DFW, ORD and MIA. We’re sorry and will have you on your way soon.

“We’re working to resolve technical issues impacting several airports as quickly as possible,” American Airlines said in a statement Thursday.
United Airlines grounded flights around the country for nearly two hours in July, citing a software “glitch” that caused malfunctions checking in passengers for flights.
