Actress America Ferrera, best known for her role on the TV series “Ugly Betty,” said Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention that “according to Donald Trump, I’m probably a rapist.”

Ferrera, who is the child of Honduran immigrants, was calling back to Trump’s first remarks as a presidential candidate last June when he infamously called Mexican immigrants crossing the border illegally “rapists” and drug dealers.

Lena Dunham, who spoke with Ferrera, responded: “But America, you’re not Mexican.”

“And President Obama isn’t Kenyan, Lena, but that doesn’t stop Donald,” Ferrera fired back.

The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” actress went on to tell the crowd she is “profoundly grateful” for the opportunities she has been afforded by living in the United States.
