Amazon’s would be Netflix-killer, a $7.99-per-month Amazon Prime and instant video subscription option that was first reported to be going live on Tuesday by Bloomberg, isn’t actually quite ready for prime time just yet. As an Amazon spokesperson told TPM in a statement:
We are always looking at ways to improve the shopping experience for our customers. We are testing a monthly Amazon Prime subscription.
Netflix declined to comment.
