Former Vice President Al Gore filed a lawsuit on Friday morning against Al Jazeera, alleging fraud in the Qatari broadcaster’s acquisition of his Current TV channel.

Politico’s Dylan Byers reported that Gore and the co-founder of Current Media, Joel Hyatt, claimed Al Jazeer wrongfully withheld tens of millions of dollars belonging to Current Media’s shareholders.

The lawsuit alleged the money is owed according to the terms of the $500 million deal reached in January 2013, in which Al Jazeera acquired Current Media.
